MORE INFO ABOUT SCREEN RACKS
I started using 1/2" screen which was stiff, but the 1/4" screen, while less stiff was also much cheaper per square foot. Initially I screwed the 4 pieces of wood together before attaching the screen. Later I got lazy, and just nailed them to the screen, which was more than sufficient. The wood is 1 x 2 furring strips, very inexpensive and the nails are 3/4" roofing nails which work well because of their wide heads.
