QUANTICO
DESCRIPTION
[A] fig tree I found in the little town of Quantico, VA. It is a large fig, dark brown, with a splitting problem when it rains. It sounds like a Brunswick, but I think not. I was told it was brought over by an old Greek lady. (967)

QUARTER POUNDER
DESCRIPTION
'Quarter Pounder' might be a 'MegaMagnolia'. I finally found a photo of my fig bush that produced quarter pound fruits this past season. EZ suggested that it might be a Sweet Magnolia. One of that variety is shown on Paradise Nursery's website. Although Magnolias are known to be large, the standard does not seem to be as large as this "MegaMagnolia," so my bush could be a sport. The Paradise Nursery Sweet Magnolia's leaves are not an exact match, but they are similar. My tree's leaves have five very long, slim "fingers" and two "thumbs." I have never encountered another fig with these distinctive leaves. (908)
